I. All have sinned.
-
They have sinned in Adam.
-
They have sinned by volition.
-
The infant and child have sinned, through the knowledge given by the conscience they were born with, which places the law of God in their hearts without the knowledge of the written commandments.
-
The older child and adult have sinned, through the knowledge of the conscience, the revelation of the Creator, and the knowledge and rebellion against His written law.

Dealing with Temptation
Posted by ProliferatingTruth on May 27, 2010
1 Corinthians 10:13-14 - "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry."
Introduction
It’s hard to convince anyone these days to listen to the voice of experience. People want to know what will work and what won’t work for themselves. But the wisest people among us are those who learned from two sources: First, God’s wisdom; secondly, Man – his mistakes and his wise choices. It is the fool who refuses to learn from others. (Prov 15:5) "A fool despiseth his father’s instruction: but he that regardeth reproof is prudent." (Prov 15:32) "He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul: but he that heareth reproof getteth understanding." It is the wise man who hears not only his parents’ and others’ instruction, but who loves to know God’s take on things. (Prov 13:13 – 16) "Whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed: but he that feareth the commandment shall be rewarded. The law of the wise is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death. Good understanding giveth favour: but the way of transgressors is hard. Every prudent man dealeth with knowledge: but a fool layeth open his folly." (Prov 13:18) "Poverty and shame shall be to him that refuseth instruction: but he that regardeth reproof shall be honoured." (Prov 14:2) "He that walketh in his uprightness feareth the LORD: but he that is perverse in his ways despiseth him." (Prov 19:16) "He that keepeth the commandment keepeth his own soul; but he that despiseth his ways shall die."

Bible Version Comparisons, Part 16: The Doctrine of Sin
Posted by ProliferatingTruth on April 12, 2010
Isaiah 53:10 – "Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand."
The Bible teaches that man possesses a nature which is prone to sin. This nature is called the "sin nature."
But new versions of the Bible change the word "sin," to the word "guilt," in Isaiah 53:10, thus relieving man of his accountability for his sins, and placing the blame for those sins solely upon God. Rewording of 1 John 5:19 blames the devil for sin, as did Eve. And modern psychology in the church reflects this propensity to transfer responsibility for sin, rather than to repent of one’s sin. Further, new versions alter many verses pertaining to sin, in order to present it in less relevant, less personal, and less severe, terms.

Bible Version Comparisons, Part 12: The Doctrine of Man

Psalm 8:4-5 – “What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? 5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.”
New versions of the Bible exalt man to a being who is “a little lower than God,” and omit any references to his fallen spiritual condition. Similarly, cults, the New Age movement, and false religions also raise mankind to the level of being either divine, or in the process of evolving into deities [gods].
