Passage: Matthew 16:18-19
And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. 19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
I. The Church is to worship God and glorify Him on the earth - “Whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God” (1 Corinthians 10:31).
A. We are told to be holy and without blame before Him; this relates to our testimony before God. (Ephesians 1:4 - “He hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him”/Philippians 2:14-16 - “Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; Holding forth the word of life”)
